Our waitress unfortunately misinformed us that there was no salt or soy sauce at the establishment for our dipping sauce. And requested us read out the names of the meats instead of just the number. The food quality was good but it was overshadowed by the service. For the atmosphere why was Drake playing right after Blackpink. Somebody take the aux away from whoever made the playlist. The decoration and building was nice but half of our seats were sticky and dirty. Always recommend the strawberry Capri sun alcohol pouch though. It’s wonderful.

Let me start off by saying I love Korean barbecue. I have the perfect meat-to-side ratio down. I knew Gen before they were bought out by a different company and remodeled, and I miss the old Gen. (That’s a Kanye reference.) I didn’t think you could get any cheaper than serving the lowest-quality rice possible, but the rice was clearly old, chewy, and dry. The meats we ordered were mediocre. The sides were served in extremely large portions. The only meat I somewhat enjoyed was the marinated short rib, though even that was chewy. They also had a smoked pork belly that was horrendous. I believe we ordered the Angus Prime, but it was thinly sliced, freezer-burned, marbled meat. As for the service, they frequently checked up on us and asked how the food was. The service itself was fine, and I honestly feel bad for the waiters because they’re just doing their jobs, but the food was absolutely below average. My issue is this: if you want to charge me an extra $20 for prime meat, at least get the basics right. Why would I spend an additional $20 if you’re serving poor-quality food? This place has pretty quickly become our go-to spot for KBBQ. Neither the food nor the experience are really top tier, but for all-you-can-eat with SO many meat options and a (relatively) low per-person price, I think this is as good as it can be. At least in Austin. At this price point, this place gets five stars for variety, portion size, good customer service, and ease of access. Plenty of parking and usually little to no wait even on a Friday night.

Came in for lunch, service was great but meats didn’t match. Ordered premium pork belly, received some kind of pork? The beef bulgogi was so sweet it tasted like maple sausages made with Splenda. Don’t think we will give this place another shot with so many other choices

pretty good! went on odd hours on a sunday (got there 2:45 left 4:15). expect to spend a while there bc that’s how kbbq is. good meats and definitely hit the spot. only minor complaint was the service was a tad bit slow probably because most of the staff was on break due to us being one of the only parties in the restaurant at the time. highly recommend the calamari steak and galbi.
